There was no way the Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragon wouldn’t be overwhelmingly popular. While complaints and questions about GOT series finale still haunt viewers, a deep dive into House Targaryen promises something different. The prequel is a slow-burn if there ever has been one, leading to a captivating story about generational trauma.

And after the anticlimactic conclusion of season 2, there are still a lot of questions left to be answered. Will Nettles will make an appearance? Will this Dance of the Dragons ever actually begin? And exactly how many seasons does the series have in the works?

Will there be a House of the Dragon season 3?

On June 13th, 2024, Variety reported that House of the Dragon will have a third season. Given the immense popularity of the first season and viewership of the second, it’s not a surprise that Max greenlit the series for another go-round. Renewed interest in the show has also given rise to the upcoming series A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, which will be adapted from George R.R. Martin’s book of the same name and cover Ser Duncan the Tall. Season 3 of House of the Dragon was a forgone conclusion.

In an interview with TechRadar, House of the Dragon showrunner Ryan Condal said the writing team was focused on season 3 even before HBO granted it a season 3 renewal. Condal said “We know where the story ends,” and continued that having a road map of the plot can help make your storylines richer.

As House of the Dragon heads into production or its third season, the stakes are high. It is now common knowledge that the sophomore season didn’t go as planned — for fans or creatives. The season was shaved down to only 8 episodes and the highly anticipated Battle of the Gullet has yet to see the light of day (per Entertainment Weekly). Condal claimed that they wanted to do the battle right, but it has come at the expense of season 2. Despite these setbacks, season 3 is imminent, as well as the conclusion of the series.

According to Variety, Condal announced that House of the Dragon would conclude after 4 seasons. This news may be a relief for those still wounded by the finale of Game of Thrones. Dragging out a story longer than necessary never helped anyone. It remains to be seen if House of the Dragon will meet the same fate.

Though half the span of its predecessor, 4 seasons still seems like a long time to drag out the Dance of the Dragons — especially when Daemon (Matt Smith) wasted an entire season away from the rest of the cast. Regardless, perhaps this is an opportunity to right the sins of the past and give fans the finale they have always wanted. The first 2 seasons of House of the Dragon are currently streaming on Max.

Will Mephisto finally enter the MCU in ‘Agatha All Along?’ https://wegotthiscovered.com/marvel/will-mephisto-finally-enter-the-mcu-in-agatha-all-along/ https://wegotthiscovered.com/marvel/will-mephisto-finally-enter-the-mcu-in-agatha-all-along/#respond Tue, 13 Aug 2024 13:41:44 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.com/?p=1738413 It would certainly be as good a place as any to introduce him.]]>

Up next on the Marvel Cinematic Universe‘s sparse 2024 calendar is Agatha All Along, the Kathryn Hahn-led dark fantasy miniseries that boasts the distinction of having the most annoyingly gimmicky marketing backbone yet. Yes, Feige, we get it, it was never Coven of Chaos, it was never House of Harkness, but it was Agatha All Along, just like the song from WandaVision that the internet fell in love with. I bet you’re pleased as punch with that one.

Speaking of WandaVision, Agatha All Along marks the return of Jac Schaeffer to the showrunner’s chair (Schaeffer spearheaded WandaVision, which is still quite easily one of the franchise’s most incredible shows), and the idiosyncratic nature of Agatha All Along‘s trailers suggest that we could be in for quite a victory here.

Of course, as we saw with Deadpool & Wolverine, it’s no victory in Marvel’s eyes unless you satisfy the cameo/setup quotient in the eyes of fans, and considering so many were convinced that Mephisto would appear in WandaVision, could the very suitable setting of Agatha All Along finally be his MCU debut?

Will Mephisto appear in Agatha All Along?

There’s been no official confirmation of Mephisto for Agatha All Along, even if that’s hardly proof of his absence. And for those of you wondering if that hellish demon at the end of the trailer is Mephisto, that entrance is entirely unbecoming of a villain of Mephisto’s pedigree, and there’s no way we’d be able to take him seriously with those hand-wings.

Moreover, Mephisto is reportedly due to appear in Ironheart, with the character strongly alleged to be the true identity of Sacha Baron Cohen’s character. Cohen’s involvement itself is something Marvel has been playing coy on, but it appears we can count on his appearance at this point.

While that doesn’t necessarily mean we can count on him being Mephisto, it does seem more likely that Ironheart will be his entry point into the franchise. And while Agatha All Along would make more sense for him as a debut, the tonal differences between Ironheart and Agatha All Along would make that transition to Ironheart a bit jarring. But then, that’s assuming that he’s even in Ironheart.

The final answer, then, is that no one well and truly knows if Mephisto will be in Agatha All Along, Ironheart, or even anything before Avengers: Secret Wars, and frankly, we shouldn’t be worrying ourselves about that. Kicking back and hoping that Agatha All Along turns out to be as good a show as it seems is a much better use of one’s time.

Agatha All Along premieres its first two episodes on Disney Plus on Sept. 18. The series will run for nine episodes.

‘Daredevil: Born Again’ to feature the MCU’s most unlikely crossover cameo yet and resurrect a franchise we feared was prematurely dead https://wegotthiscovered.com/marvel/daredevil-born-again-to-feature-the-mcus-most-unlikely-crossover-cameo-yet-and-resurrect-a-franchise-we-feared-was-prematurely-dead/ https://wegotthiscovered.com/marvel/daredevil-born-again-to-feature-the-mcus-most-unlikely-crossover-cameo-yet-and-resurrect-a-franchise-we-feared-was-prematurely-dead/#respond Tue, 13 Aug 2024 13:29:40 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.com/?p=1738397 How's that for being born again?]]>

Just when you thought Deadpool & Wolverine had claimed the crown and couldn’t ever be beaten, Daredevil: Born Again has come along and delivered what could be the most unexpected crossover cameo the MCU has ever given us.

Marvel Studios unveiled a first look at the much-anticipated relaunch of the Man Without Fear’s adventures at this August’s D23 — at least, to those in attendance. Unfortunately, the trailer has yet to be officially released online, but thanks to the wonders of leaks and first-hand reportage we know what the teaser contained.

On top of glimpses of Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock, Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin, and Jon Bernthal’s Punisher, not to mention the return of Bullseye, Karen Page, and Foggy Nelson, and the introduction of Muse and White Tiger, the trailer also confirmed another addition to the cast that’s left fans scratching their heads.

The Marvels star confirmed to return to the MCU for Daredevil: Born Again

Image via Marvel Studios

Sorry, Channing Tatum. Move over, Wesley Snipes. The most out-of-left-field MCU cameo surely has to come from this Daredevil: Born Again trailer. The D23 first-look footage confirmed that Mohan Kapur will feature in the series, reprising his role as Yusuf Khan — father to Kamala “Ms. Marvel” Khan — from both Ms. Marvel and The Marvels.

Aside from the relative obscurity of the character — sorry, Yusuf, but Kamala’s mom Muneeba is the supreme Khan family member — the fact that the world of Ms. Marvel is crossing over with Daredevil at all is something of a head-scratcher. For starters, Born Again promises to be an extension of the street-level side of the MCU — inhabited by the Defenders, the Punisher, and Echo — rather than the cosmic side Kamala dwells in. On a geographic level, too, the Khans live in Jersey City, not Matt Murdock’s Hell’s Kitchen home turf.

What’s more, it’s surprising that the studio would elect to call back to The Marvels so soon after its infamous box office devastation last November. All signs had pointed to Marvel throwing the Brie Larson sequel under the bus — see Deadpool’s “You’re joining at kind of low-point” joke to Wolverine in D&W — and quietly cancelling projects like Captain Marvel 3, a Photon spinoff, and perhaps even the Young Avengers movie (notice the lack of an update at either Comic-Con or D23). And yet here Yusuf is to remind us of Marvel’s greatest financial failure.

Filming restarted on Born Again, after it was overhauled from top to bottom, in January 2024, so it’s not like this decision was made prior to The Marvels‘ release. Those who miss Ms. Marvel can likely take this as a good sign, then, that Kamala is still very much a tentpole figure of this franchise going forward. If we get a Daredevil/Ms. Marvel team-up before Daredevil/Spider-Man, though, then something’s definitely up with the timeline.

The best ‘Real Housewives’ series, ranked https://wegotthiscovered.com/tv/the-best-real-housewives-series-ranked/ https://wegotthiscovered.com/tv/the-best-real-housewives-series-ranked/#respond Tue, 13 Aug 2024 11:25:19 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.com/?p=1738307 From the snowy mountains of 'Salt Lake City' to the towering skylines of 'New York City'. ]]>

For almost two decades, The Real Housewives franchise has graced our airwaves with a never-ending onslaught of petty feuds, high-stakes melodrama and luxurious, eye-watering escapism.

The crown jewel of the Bravo network, The Real Housewives has sustained its loud-mouthed run by offering an insight into the lives of ladies who lunch from regions all across the country, be it the glitz and glamor of Beverly Hills or the frosty mountains of Salt Lake City

Spawning countless catchphrases that have seeped into the pop culture vocabulary and creating a universe on par with (or even better than) Marvel’s, The Real Housewives is a touchstone of reality television and society writ large.

In celebration of this beloved franchise (can you tell I’m a fan?), we’re sorting through all the staple iterations of The Real Housewives, ranked from worst to best.

9. The Real Housewives of Dubai

Given that it is the most recently-launched iteration, RHOD needs some time to establish itself before it can reach the heights of its peers. The first season was entertaining enough, and heralded a bonafide star in the form of castmate Chanel Ayan, but we need to let the friendships develop before anything truly jaw-dropping can occur.

8. The Real Housewives of Potomac

In its heyday, RHOP certainly would’ve been higher on this list. Seasons one to five are top-tier, and established the ladies of Potomac as somewhat novel given the relative obscurity of their hometown. However, even the most diehard of fans will admit that the last few seasons of this once-beloved show have been lacklustre, thanks in large part to an assortment of women who simply refuse to move past their issues (ahem, Gizelle). Bravo’s recent cast shake-up might help this fan favorite franchise rise the ranks once more.

7. The Real Housewives of New Jersey

I’ll admit that having RHNJ so far down the list is bound to ruffle a few feathers, especially given that this iteration is home perhaps the most iconic moment across the entire franchise (Theresa Guidice’s table-flip). But, like RHOP before it, the ladies of New Jersey are suffering from a stalemate that has slowed the momentum of the show, forcing tired storylines to continue without resolution. We hope the most recent season’s lack of a reunion isn’t the final nail in the coffin.

6. The Real Housewives of Orange County

It’s the franchise that started it all, but it’s also the franchise that suffers from a lack of consistency. RHOC has certainly had its golden years (who can forget the Cancer-gate scandal that rocked the reality TV universe?), but it languished during the pandemic, and its rotating door of castmates in recent years (good riddance, Kelly Dodd) has left it feeling untethered. The return of staples like Heather Dubrow and Tamra Judge, however, has made it feel as though things are looking up.

5. The Real Housewives of Atlanta

This is again a case of the near-perfect earlier seasons making up for the more recent dull ones. RHOA is undoubtedly the funniest of all Housewives franchises, and is home to quotable moments that are surprisingly applicable in everyday life (“gone with the wind fabulous”), but the departure of Bravo icons like NeNe Leakes, Kenya Moore, and Kandi Burruss has left RHOA struggling to rediscover its footing.

4. The Real Housewives of New York City

Seasons one to ten of RHONY should be studied and hung in the Louvre, but even that isn’t enough of a tribute to the sheer brilliance of this show from 2008 to 2018. Every single Housewife was perfectly cast, delivered hilarious antics, and kept the drama consistently engaging. It also boasted the franchise’s best backdrop in the Big Apple, and created household names like Bethenney Frankel.

Unfortunately, the declining quality of this unanimously adored franchise saw Bravo’s biggest fall from grace, resulting in a recent reboot with an entirely new cast. While they have Herman Munster-sized shoes to fill, the new ladies of NYC show lots of promise, so here’s hoping those glory days return soon enough.

3. The Real Housewives of Miami

RHOM came back from a years-long hiatus firing on all cylinders. Since its return to screens in 2021, the show has not faltered, somehow outdoing itself with consistently captivating seasons. The cast is pitch-perfect, the drama is enticing, and the Miami lifestyle is fabulously enviable. It’s an underrated iteration, but it deserves all the flowers and then some.

2. The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City

Housewives fans should stop and take stock, because we are currently in the midst of RHOSLC’s glory days and we need to savour every minute. Despite entering the Housewives universe somewhat recently, the ladies of Salt Lake City have not yet put a foot wrong. It is undoubtedly the most outlandish franchise — with a cast that feels like a parody or caricature of what it means to be a Housewife — but that’s what makes it so fun.

Oh, it’s also home to the franchise’s most juicy storylines. Jail time for federal crimes, alleged religious cults, and running troll social media accounts are all just par for the course in Salt Lake City.

1. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

I will concede that RHOB might not be the most jaw-droppingly dramatic Housewives franchise, but something about it is consistently engaging, to the point where each new season maintains, or sometimes supersedes, the quality of its predecessor.

It gets points for having the starriest and richest cast, from child actors to Bond girls and restaurateurs, as well as for boasting the franchise’s best ratings. When someone wants to start the Herculean task of watching Housewives for the first time, you probably suggest RHOB — and for good reason.

What happened to WWE commentator Pat McAfee? https://wegotthiscovered.com/tv/what-happened-to-pat-mcafee/ https://wegotthiscovered.com/tv/what-happened-to-pat-mcafee/#respond Tue, 13 Aug 2024 11:03:07 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.com/?p=1738304 The WWE commentator was absent due to a "last-minute emergency." ]]>

Fans of WWE commentator Pat McAfee were left confused and worried earlier this year when the popular co-host of WWE Raw was absent from an episode of the weekly television program.

Viewers were told by co-host Michael Cole during the June 24 episode that McAfee would be skipping that day’s episode, which was questionable since McAfee had appeared fine on-air in the weeks prior, and there was no mention of his imminent departure.

Cole assured audiences of WWE Raw, also known as Monday Night Raw, to not “read too much into” McAfee’s absence and PWTorch reported that the co-host had skipped the episode to deal with a “legitimate, last-minute family emergency.”

We have since learned from McAfee himself exactly what that emergency was.

What happened to Pat McAfee?

Addressing the situation on his self-titled The Pat McAfee Show one day after missing WWE Raw, McAfee revealed that his absence was due to an unexpected death in his family, which happened just hours after he had filmed the previous day’s episode.

The commentator revealed that his father-in-law, Bob, had been in the hospital for some time fighting an infection before his death, but that doctors had assured the family his health was under control. “we were told that he was probably going to be discharged,” McAfee recalled, adding that medical professionals had told him Bob “was going to be OK.”

“We all had high hopes and incredible optimism,” he said of his father-in-law’s health. Then, just as he had finished taping an episode of WWE Raw, McAfee received a call from his wife, Samantha, who informed him that Bob’s condition had rapidly worsened, and that he had to “get to the hospital because there had been an emergency.”

A short time after arriving at the hospital alongside his wife, her mother, and her aunt, Bob unfortunately passed away. Thankfully, both McAfee and his loved ones found some solace in being able to speak to Bob before his passing. McAfee said the “wildly devastating” ordeal was especially tough for Samantha, who he described as a “daddy’s girl”, and said it was a reminder for others to “tell your people you love them.”

“You literally have no idea what’s gonna come,” he added. “It can literally be the last time you see somebody any time you see them.” McAfee and Samantha have been married since 2020 and have one child together, daughter Mackenzie Lynn McAfee.

McAfee has since returned to hosting duties on WWE Raw, where he serves as the color commentator alongside Cole as the play-by-play commentator.

Why is ‘Pokémon’ leaving Netflix? https://wegotthiscovered.com/tv/why-is-pokemon-leaving-netflix/ https://wegotthiscovered.com/tv/why-is-pokemon-leaving-netflix/#respond Tue, 13 Aug 2024 09:05:25 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.com/?p=1738298 The announcement has prompted fans to feverishly binge their favorite titles. ]]>

For decades, Pokémon has enjoyed a run as a juggernaut in the anime, gaming and even merchandise space, garnering millions of fans and spawning spinoff titles in the worlds of film, manga and television.

On the small screen, Pokémon has spawned eight anime series and 26 seasons, each based on a main installment of the Pokémon video game series. These shows have unsurprisingly been big hits, but their future has been called into question, at least in relation to Netflix.

The streaming giant obtained the licensing rights to broadcast Pokémon anime in 2014, and has since provided the English dub for the spinoff Pokémon: Journeys television franchise. While that title has made Netflix the first port of call for US Pokémon fans, the streamer recently announced that all of its Pokémon: Journeys series will be leaving the platform in early Sept, 2024.

It’s a move that has caught the ire of legions of fans, but what’s behind Netflix’s decision?

Why is Pokémon leaving Netflix?

In sad news for Pokémon fans, Netflix recently revealed that all four of the Pokémon: Journeys titles — including Pokémon Master Journeys, Pokémon Ultimate Journeys, and How To Be a Pokémon Master — will be leaving the streamer within the first week of September. Fortunately, the fan-favorite title, Pokémon Horizons, does not appear to be departing Netflix in the near future.

While no official reason has been given for Pokémon’s exit from Netflix, we know from similar departures that the move might boil down to licensing agreements. In the past, even the most wildly popular titles have been removed from Netflix after the licensing agreements it struck up with production companies have expired.

It’s worth noting that the ‘Leaving Soon’ notification for the Pokémon: Journeys titles seems to only appear for Netflix users in the United States, with fans in international regions like the United Kingdom and Australia seemingly able to watch those shows for the foreseeable future. What’s On Netflix reports that those international viewers should be able to watch the shows through the end of 2025, as per Netflix’s licensing deal.

Before you flock to Reddit to share your disappointment — as many fans already have — the fate of Pokémon: Journeys might not be doomed just yet. In the past, we’ve seen Netflix add the ‘Leaving Soon’ disclaimer to other Pokémon shows, only to remove it right before the expiration date after the title is renewed for another batch of episodes.

This happened in February 2024 with season 23 of Pokémon Journeys and season 24 of Pokémon: Master Journeys, so it might be the case that Netflix will pull a switcheroo again as the expiration dates near, if Journeys is renewed.

In any case, we suggest bingeing the shows anyway, because you’re never going to regret another go-around with Ash, Pikachu, and the rest of the gang.

‘Big Brother 26’ rascal Tucker Des Lauriers is friends with a surprising ‘BB’ winner, and the fandom is positively shooketh https://wegotthiscovered.com/tv/big-brother-26-rascal-tucker-des-lauriers-is-friends-with-a-surprising-bb-winner-and-the-fandom-is-positively-shooketh/ https://wegotthiscovered.com/tv/big-brother-26-rascal-tucker-des-lauriers-is-friends-with-a-surprising-bb-winner-and-the-fandom-is-positively-shooketh/#respond Mon, 12 Aug 2024 23:35:57 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.com/?p=1738273 We can TOTALLY see this duo being the best of friends.]]>

Tucker Des Lauriers is the star of Big Brother 26 so far, solidifying himself as a force to be reckoned with after making one of the riskiest moves in the history of the show.

In week three, Tucker won the Power of Veto as a nominee, but made the controversial choice to play it on another nominee instead (AKA Angela Murray), ultimately leaving himself at risk of eviction. Fortunately, Tucker won the AI Arena competition and Kenney Kelly was evicted — allowing Tucker to see another week — but it’s safe to say that we were on the edge of our seats the whole entire time!

Based on how cutthroat and flashy Tucker is playing the game after only a few weeks, some fans believe that he has never seen an episode of Big Brother. Being too boisterous is one of the biggest mistakes that you can make on the beloved competition series, and if he was seriously a superfan, he wouldn’t be THAT dumb. Right?

Believe it or not, this Boston boy actually has close ties to someone who had a great deal of success on Big Brother, but perhaps Tucker did not take any of his advice on how to actually bring home the bacon…

According to the 30-year-old himself, Big Brother 16 runner-up and Big Brother 22 winner Cody Calafiore is Tucker’s friend from back home, spilling the tea to houseguests Kimo Apaka, Joseph Rodriguez, and Angela Murray — as well as those who were tuned into the 24-hour live feeds — last night, Aug. 11.

Naturally, this caused Big Brother fans to do some social media sleuthing to try and figure out how Tucker and Cody know each other, ultimately uncovering a few photos of the pair at a Christmas party.

While a majority of Big Brother fans were shook by this duo, others remember an oh-so telling tweet from Cody as soon as the Big Brother 26 cast dropped. The New Jersey native shared at the time, “I’ve known someone on this cast for years 🤣🤫 #BB26 so pumped!! Who do think it is?” and we now know that it is the one and only Tucker Des Lauriers.

Do we think that Tucker will follow in the footsteps of his longtime friend, ultimately coasting to finale night and earning the $750k cash prize? Based on the chaos he has caused in the Big Brother house (AKA Sound Stage 18 at CBS Studios in Los Angeles) so far, signs point to no, but the only way to find out for yourself is to catch brand new episodes of Big Brother 26 on Sundays at 9pm ET/PT and Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8pm ET/PT on CBS.

With Quinn Martin using his Deepfake Head of Household advantage, things are definitely starting to heat up…

Bravo has mastered the art of creating attention-grabbing reality TV series that blur the line between its subjects’ personal and professional lives. From hit franchises like Real Housewives to Million Dollar Listing, Bravo has crafted enough spectacular reality television to necessitate its own convention, BravoCon. This level of success is due in part to the big personalities who make up the stars of these shows, such as one Luis D. Ortiz from Million Dollar Listing New York.

As a charismatic real estate broker based in New York City, Ortiz was a natural fit for the show. He joined the cast for seasons 2 to 5, before leaving and returning once more for season 8, a decision he likens to rekindling a relationship with a former flame. His return — to the show, and to real estate — was short, however, and he left once again after the end of the season. The show was cancelled shortly after its ninth season, making it unlikely for Ortiz to return to reality television in the near future. What has Ortiz been up to during his time away from the series and since?

Where is Luis D. Ortiz after leaving Million Dollar Listing New York?

When Ortiz left the show for the first time after its fifth season, he cited depression as the reason. He spoke with The Daily Dish at the time about his decision, saying he’d arrived at the realization that real estate wasn’t making him happy. “I choose happiness,” Ortiz told the publication before talking about wanting to explore film-making and travel through Europe. He went on to move to Paris for a stay before entering a relationship with Nikita Singh. The two had a daughter, Leela, in 2019, and the dissolution of their relationship led a self-professed heartbroken Ortiz to return to New York.

His daughter’s birth coincided with the eighth season of Million Dollar Listing New York, which may have played a role in his decision to leave the show a second time. After season 8 concluded, Ortiz moved to Puerto Rico with Singh and Leela before their relationship ended once more. Shortly after, Singh relocated to the U.K. with Leela. The couple did not end things on good terms and in 2021, Singh accused Ortiz of physical and emotional abuse, alleging he was an absent father. Ortiz denied the claims on an appearance on Good Day NY and stated he wanted to keep things private, saying, “This is my family and regardless of people wanting to know something about it, everybody has their own story and I think that always should stay between the people in it, regardless of celebrity and regardless of you being known.”

In 2022, Ortiz took to his Instagram to refute Singh’s claims in the wake of the Johnny Depp-Amber Heard defamation case. In the now-deleted posts, Ortiz wrote Singh’s claims were “completely false,” and that he hoped to see his daughter again. Singh responded on her own Instagram, stating Ortiz was given multiple chances to see Leela provided he completed a mental health assessment. “Stop using the Amber Heard and Johnny Depp case as an excuse to be an absentee father,” she wrote via her Instagram stories.

‘Even Sesame Street knew’: Yearly reminder that decades before he was president, ‘Sesame Street’ was onto ‘Donald Grump’ https://wegotthiscovered.com/tv/even-sesame-street-knew-yearly-reminder-that-decades-before-he-was-president-sesame-street-was-onto-donald-grump/ https://wegotthiscovered.com/tv/even-sesame-street-knew-yearly-reminder-that-decades-before-he-was-president-sesame-street-was-onto-donald-grump/#respond Mon, 12 Aug 2024 21:06:37 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.com/?p=1738208 'Whose name equals trash, to you and to me?']]>

For more than a decade now, the vast majority of America — and much of the rest of the world — has been onto Donald Trump’s game.

He thrives on controversy, hateful attacks, and fabricated issues, and years of petulant pushback have proven that he’d rather break the board in half than play a fair game. As a result, most of us are entirely disillusioned when it comes to the former president, but it took us far too long to realize the threat he posed to the United States of America.

You know who wasn’t surprised to discover Trump’s true colors? Sesame Street. Apparently thriving in its Simpsons era, the children’s television show established — a good two decades before the presidency was a glimmer in his eye — that “Donald Grump” was the worst kind of human.

A clip from the treasured educational program has been recirculating as the Trump campaign trades blows with Kamala Harris, re-establishing that this man has been a crook, a liar, and a braggart for longer than some of us have been alive. Exposed for the world to see by TikToker @savvy_from_maine, the series dedicated an entire song to the one and only “Donald Grump,” the man with “the most trash of any grouch in the world.”

Every line from the glorious little segment is comedy gold, particularly now that Trump’s shady business dealings and outright criminal behavior have been exposed. He does, in fact, plaster his name “on every piece of trash in town,” offers up the “best rubbish and scuzz” via products like Trump Steaks, and as his orange-haired caricature petulantly notes, he boasts “more trash” than the rest of us combined.

The fact that this blatant, harsh criticism of Trump came from Sesame Street makes the video all the better, particularly considering how long ago the episode aired. Sesame Street has been poking fun at the overtly villainous and trash-hoarding “Grump” for decades now, and he’s far from the only high-profile figure the program has targeted. Trump himself has come under fire numerous times, but he joins hundreds of others in getting a dressing-down from the children’s show.

It’s kind of inevitable, given Sesame Street’s tenure; the show has been on the air since 1969 and in 2023, it celebrated its 54th season. Over the years, it has put out more than 4,500 episodes in total, educating youths on any range of vital early development topics and taking shots at the controlling, heartless jerks of the world in the process.

What happened on ‘Big Brother’ season 26, episode 12? https://wegotthiscovered.com/tv/what-happened-on-big-brother-season-26-episode-12/ https://wegotthiscovered.com/tv/what-happened-on-big-brother-season-26-episode-12/#respond Mon, 12 Aug 2024 18:56:11 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.com/?p=1738146 It was sure a wild episode...]]>

With the wishy-washy Kenney Kelly finally being eliminated from Big Brother 26 on Thursday, Aug. 8, the hit competition show returned to its regularly scheduled programming on Sunday, Aug. 11, crowning the fourth Head of Household of the season. Well, at least that’s what we thought, but with Quinn Martin’s Deepfake Head of Household advantage still in play — given to him by Ainsley (AKA BBAI) on day one — it looks like plans have gone awry…

Who won Head of Household?

Image via CBS

To determine the Head of Household for week four, contestants competed in a competition called “Bad AI,” where they went head-to-head to find errors in AI-generated images, which happened to include numerous Big Brother fan favorites and winners, including Taylor Hale, America Lopez, and Matt Turner. Getting eliminated one-by-one by either guessing too slow or guessing incorrectly, Angela Murray made an enemy in Brooklyn Rivera, as she called her up to compete numerous times with no explanation. Nonetheless, the final showdown was between Cam Sullivan-Brown and Angela, with the latter emerging victorious.

With Angela having the most chaotic week one HOH reign in the history of Big Brother, fans of the social-strategy game were eager to see if her week four HOH reign would prove equally tumultuous. Unfortunately for the real estate agent, her time as the Head of Household was cut short, as Quinn decided to use his Deepfake Head of Household advantage to overthrow her, despite telling his fellow contestants that he has no plans to use it. Poor Angela!

Who is nominated for eviction?

For those in need of a refresher, the Deepfake Head of Household advantage gives Quinn the power to overthrow someone’s HOH reign, secretly controlling their nominations, as well as any replacement nominations. Deciding to use said advantage, Quinn — disguised as a hologram of Angela — nominated Tucker Des Lauriers, Makensy Manbeck, and Cedric Hodges for eviction, against Angela’s wishes.

Given the fact that the nominations did not go Angela’s way, will one of these nominees manage to win the Power of Veto, securing their safety once and for all? The only way to find out is to tune into a brand new episode of Big Brother 26 Wednesday at 8pm ET/PT on CBS.

Furthermore, to see how the rest of the season unfolds, catch brand new episodes every Sunday at 9pm ET/PT, as well as every Wednesday and Thursday at 8pm ET/PT. With all of Ainsley’s advantages being used already, it looks like the game will be an even playing field from here on out, and it will be interesting to see who prevails…

Where did the ‘Love is Blind: UK’ couples vacation? Angsana Corfu, explained https://wegotthiscovered.com/tv/where-did-the-love-is-blind-uk-couples-vacation-angsana-corfu-explained/ https://wegotthiscovered.com/tv/where-did-the-love-is-blind-uk-couples-vacation-angsana-corfu-explained/#respond Mon, 12 Aug 2024 18:18:31 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.com/?p=1738084 This is one of the best parts of any “Love is Blind” season.]]>

Blind dates can be awkward, dating apps aren’t for everyone, and the idea of getting engaged without laying eyes on someone first is, well, kind of weird. But going on a luxury vacation? Sign me up. I, along with many other Love is Blind: UK fans, love watching the vacation portion of this reality series, and I want to know more about where they traveled in season 1.

Every season of the Netflix franchise has interesting contestants, couples who actually get married (and stay married), and the chance for the new pairs to get to know each other in person in the sunshine. Engaged couples on the OG Love is Blind show traveled to Playa del Carmen, Cancun, and Malibu, but what about the Love is Blind: UK cast members?

Where is Angsana Corfu, the Love is Blind: UK vacation spot?

Angsana Corfu is a fancy hotel located in Corfu, Greece, and anyone who stays there gets to enjoy the gorgeous Ionian Sea. According to the hotel’s website, guests can choose from villas, suites, and rooms. Besides getting some major beach time in, guests can go to the hotel’s spa and also enjoy the many restaurants on site.

Angsana Corfu is truly a dream, with an infinity pool that is 1000 sqm and some seriously calming and aesthetically pleasing rooms. No one would complain about staying here, that’s for sure.

While every Love is Blind cast trip involves meals on the beach, pool time, and some group meet-ups to amp up the conflict, the Love is Blind: UK Corfu vacation featured a particularly memorable moment. As The Sun noted, people were stunned when Catherine Richards said she and everyone’s obsession Freddie Powell slept together “twice” when they got to their Corfu hotel. Once again, reality fans are unfairly judging cast members for something that really isn’t a big deal.

Love is Blind: UK fans might not anticipate a possible wedding just weeks after staying at Angsana Corfu. But they can at least enjoy all the good vacay vibes without the awkwardness of meeting someone IRL and realizing they’re different than they seemed when chatting through a wall.

All ‘The Bear’ season 3 episodes, ranked from worst to best https://wegotthiscovered.com/tv/all-the-bear-season-3-episodes-ranked-from-worst-to-best/ https://wegotthiscovered.com/tv/all-the-bear-season-3-episodes-ranked-from-worst-to-best/#respond Mon, 12 Aug 2024 16:56:51 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.com/?p=1737305 Even the weakest “Bear” episode is way more compelling than the best episode of nearly anything else. ]]>

The Bear can make fans cry, laugh, and feel inspired in a single scene, so it’s no wonder that everyone found it tough to be patient for season 3. The latest episodes proved the story of Carmy Berzatto’s (Jeremy Allen White) dream of running a restaurant of his own is still fascinating (and I think it’s a crime that season 4 isn’t out already).

However, some might say that The Bear season 3 wasn’t the strongest season, and after reflecting on these 10 episodes, I can say some episodes were better than others. Here’s my ranking of the third season.

10. Episode 9: “Apologies”

Instead of ramping up the action before the season 3 finale, episode 9 just isn’t all that riveting. The most memorable thing that happens is that the Faks (still some of the best characters on the show) tell Claire Dunlap (Molly Gordon) that Carmy is sorry. But since Carmy isn’t the one who apologizes, so this isn’t as great a scene as it could be. Claire and Carmy are both too stubborn to talk to each other, and I just want to tell them to make up already and stop making everyone else so miserable.

9. Episode 10: “Forever”

The first and last episodes of a season need to set up the action, and then tie everything up (while still leaving some compelling threads for the next season, of course). After a frustrating season 3 finale, I hope The Bear season 4 looks different, because I’m still upset that so many issues didn’t get resolved. Instead of letting Sydney Adamu (Ayo Edebiri) move on to a new job or signing her contract at The Bear, she still thinks about her life choices. And while everyone should think before they speak or act (especially these days), fans don’t want to watch characters sitting around and thinking instead of springing into action.

8. Episode 2: “Next”

Sydney Adamu (Ayo Edebiri) on The Bear

“Next” explains that Carmy has “non-negotiables” for the restaurant, which are the bane of everyone’s existence in every The Bear season 3 episode. Since these are a necessary part of his character arc this season, and demonstrate that Carmy’s putting too much pressure on himself, this isn’t a terrible episode. But it’s also hard to watch him boss the others around constantly, so it’s not the most enjoyable to watch, either.

7. Episode 8: Violet

The most exciting storylines in “Violet” include Josh Hartnett’s deft cameo as Tiffany Jerimovich’s (Gillian Jacobs) adorably kind fiancé, Frank, and Sydney deciding to leave her supportive dad (actor and filmmaking pioneer Robert Townsend) and get her own place. While these are cool developments, and it’s gratifying to see Sydney making moves, these small moments aren’t enough to make a more compelling episode. Sydney’s arc has always focused on her family, but it would be nice to see more of her personal life. Seeing her in a tiny apartment just isn’t that much fun.

6. Episode 6: “Doors”

Richie and Sugar on The Bear

Richie Jerimovich (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) and Carmy have a massive fight in this episode, which proves to Sydney that if she’s going to stick around, she’ll have to deal with this exhausting dynamic more and more (poor Sydney). While a blow-up feels inevitable, “Doors” isn’t enjoyable to watch, and doesn’t have enough drama to really pull the viewer in. Still, the characters have never really dealt with their conflict, so this is still a worthy and important plot point.

5. Episode 7: “Legacy”

Marcus and Carmy on The Bear

As the episode title suggests, Carmy reflects on how he can leave his mark on the industry here. Since The Bear season 3 focuses on him so much, this could be considered one of the season’s themes. But since not much else happens here, this episode is pretty middle of the road, which is why it’s ranked as number five.

4. Episode 5: “Children”

Uncle Jimmy (Oliver Platt) on The Bear

While it might not be the episode that everyone talks about from season 3, “Children” has the biggest plot point of the season: Chef Terry (the incredible Olivia Colman), who has acted as a kind of mentor and aspirational figure for several members of the Bear squad, is going to shut down her beautiful and inspiring restaurant, Ever. This sends everyone, including Carmy, into a tailspin, as it proves that fine dining might be over in the city of Chicago. This episode also hints at money trouble to come, as fans meet Nicholas “The Computer” Marshall (Brian Koppelman), who will later tell Uncle Jimmy (Oliver Platt) that the restaurant can’t stay open much longer.

3. Episode 6: “Napkins”

Tina Marrero (Liza Colón-Zayas) on The Bear
Photo via FX/Hulu

On the one hand, the sixth episode about Tina Marrero (Liza Colón-Zayas) doesn’t move the overall plot forward. On the other hand, Tina is such a compelling and well-drawn character, and Colón-Zayas’s performance is so richly detailed and emotive that it was past time that fans learned how Tina found her way to The Beef, so this is my third favorite episode of the third season. Also notable, this semi-capsule episode was directed by none other than Ayo Edibiri, whose talent seemingly knows no bounds. Mikey Berzatto (Jon Bernthal) treats Tina with compassion and understanding in one stand-out scene. And theough this episode, The Bear continues to flesh out Mikey’s arc and treat him like a real human being, instead of a statistic or an after-school special.

2. Episode 1: “Tomorrow”

Jeremy Allen White as Carmy in The Bear

The Bear season 3 premiere is a perfect introduction to Carmy’s vision for his new restaurant. There are a lot of great montages here — both gorgeously shot and touching footage of Chicago food workers, and character montages that show the hard work Carmy has put in throughout his various jobs, along with the pain that he still carries around of never feeling good enough. It’s hard to watch this episode and not want to give Carmy a big hug, especially after knowing that he’s going to treat everyone so badly throughout the whole season.

1. Episode 8: “Ice Chips”

Jamie Lee Curtis as Donna on The Bear

While my all-time fave The Bear episode is still season 2’s” Forks,” I have to give The Bear season 3, episode 8, “Ice Chips” a round of applause for covering trauma, family history, and the unique experience of giving birth all in one go. (Also, an episode with Jamie Lee Curtis can’t be anything short of amazing.) I especially appreciate this episode because, unlike unrealistic depictions in the movies, Sugar’s (Abby Elliott) labor actually takes a fairly long time. Watching Sugar balance her excitement and terror about the way her life is about to change with her complex feelings about her mom is the best part of The Bear season 3.
